Our social events create a fun and festive atmosphere. Last fall we enjoyed dressing up and spending time with our sisters and other sororities on Greek Circle at our date parties 80's Prom and Lone Star Christmas, where Johnny Cooper performed! Every fall we also team up with a fraternity for the Texas Tech Homecoming festivities, and we loved getting to share the activities with the newly reinstated Pi Kappa Alpha this past fall. This fall we look forward to sharing the activities with Farmhouse Fraternity. The fall semester is only the beginning of our social schedule.

In the spring we dressed up as famous couples for Sweethearts: Famous Couples Past and Present and then put on our dancing shoes for formal with Alpha Phi! We loved riding in limos to the party and the entertainment from Curtis Grimes who flew in from Los Angeles while taking a break from filming NBC's "The Voice"! Thetas always enjoy socializing together and celebrating the bonds of sisterhood.

Thetas participate in a number of sisterhood events, too. These include Theta Thursdays, a chapter retreat, chapter dinners and Bible study. On Theta Thursdays, we pass out candy at the Student Union Building, making Texas Tech sweeter one Theta at a time. Our events help to strengthen our bond as sisters and give us a network of friends who act as a family away from home.

Lastly, the Gamma Phi Theta Mother's Club hosts a Parents Weekend each year. Parents join their daughters in Lubbock and enjoy spending time together at various events including a Mother/Daughter Luncheon & Style Show and a family barbecue with special entertainment. It's a weekend full of fun and definitely a highlight for each of us to spend time with our family and our sisters! Gamma Phi Theta Mothers, please join the Mother's Club today!
